Virgin London Marathon 2011 - running for Eloise

Created by Clare Jones 8th February 2011 This event has closed

Story

I will be running The Virgin London Marathon on 17th April 2011 in memory of Eloise, who tragically lost her life to Pneumococcal Meningitis and Septicaemia on 17th December 2009. She was just 9 months old. I would like to do as much as possible to raise awareness for this devastating disease that so cruely took Eloise from her family. Meningitis UK provide fantastic support to families who have lost loved ones and every penny makes such a difference and enables the Charity to work towards creating new vaccines. ALL money raised will go straight to Eloise's Forever Fund at Meningitis UK, enabling them to continue their amazing work and hopefully put a stop to this devastating disease. Please donate what you can.... Thank you so much.

Hi Clare, appreciate So what you are doing alot and I know Eloise is around so proud of what people are doing in her name. It's one way for us to make a little bit of difference in her name. Even to help saving one baby from this illness and one family the heartache we live with is a good thing. Thankyou from me and all of Eloises family and a big fat angel kiss for Eloise. Xxxx
