Just thinking about the rules. How you can't chngae the past/future. Does course correction=chngae? I believe that it does. It has to be. The O6 will return to the island sometime in the past and will be instrumental in changing err course correcting past mistakes on the island. What those mistakes may be is anyone's guess but I am convinced that this is the direction of the show. Although this theory could chngae with further knowledge of developments. Course correction has been a big part of the series and now we will live out the next season and a half watching the Losties and others, yes pun intended, course correct (ie chngae) past wrong doings. Desmond has already altered Charlie's fate by saving his life, he allowed Charlie to die a hero's death. The outcome, Charlie dies, was always meant to be but with a flash from Desmond (or knowledge of what occurs on the island for the Losties et al) they are able to give it, by it I mean the island, different/better ways to get to the end.
